Description & Condition
FGN (Fujigen) is Japan's world-class guitar factory.
It is highly regarded worldwide and has manufactured many guitar brands such as Fender on an OEM basses.
This is Fujigen's original brand.
This model is called the J-Standard series, and it is Fujigen's new standard model.
As you can see, this model is designed with a jazz bass as a motif.
While based on a traditional sound, it is characterized by a more subdued nuance and incorporates specs for deep distortion and big low end.
It has the model name Dark Evolution (DE) because it has been specially arranged to fit genres that use a lot of low tuning and drive sounds, such as metal.
EMG pickups are used.
The front has a single coil PU and the rear has a humbucking PU, and the rear can operate as a single coil mode.
The rear PU can be operated as a single coil mode. These features cover a wide range of sounds from the JB sound mixed with the front PU to the MM sound with the rear PU alone.
The fret count is 24, which is modern, and the body shape is slightly different from that of the JB to accommodate this.
Overall, this original model features a neat balance and is still recommended for bassists who use low tuning a lot.
It is also possible to replace the strings with even thicker ones.
It is also possible to have the nut adjusted at our store before delivery.
The remaining frets are about 80%.
The truss rod movement is a little stiff, but we have confirmed about 90° movement.
The neck is in high condition, but can be played with no problem from 2.5mm G string to 3.0mm E string.
The body and paint are in good condition, with some scratches and about 5 spots where the paint is peeling.
The electrical system is in good condition.
The strap pin has been replaced by a locking pin and there is no attachment on the strap side.
The zipper pull of the case is missing.
