F-Bass is Canada's leading bass brand. The quality of their basses is extremely high, and they are used by top bassists such as Alain Caron, Étienne Mbappé, Hadrien Féraud, and Michael League.
The flagship model, the BN is described as the ideal 70's JB sound.
The body is made of Ash, the neck is a 5-piece laminate type made mainly of Maple, and the fingerboard is Maple. This is a little unusual, as BNs often use 3-piece Maple for the neck.
In addition, the scale is 34inch in this particular model. This is also a rare point because BN often uses 34.5inch scale.
The pickups are the original stacked dual coil design with hum cancel function. This function can be turned on and off.
A 3-band EQ is combined for natural and smooth equalization.
The 34inch scale gives it a more classic feel than the regular BN model. However, the open texture, the good sense of pitch of the low B string, and the clear and three-dimensional sound image are the same as usual, and the sound is of high quality.
I am currently setting up with D'addario, but I also recommend the F-Bass genuine strings. They are really good strings.
The frets are roughly 80% remaining. The truss rod is working and the neck is in good condition. The condition of the body and paintwork is relatively clean and beautiful, although there are a few scratches and minor blemishes that are not easily noticeable. The electrical system is in good condition. The condenser has been replaced with a HUMPBACK ENGINEERING BLACK. It is difficult to say for sure about the finger lamps, but they were probably retrofitted.
