Description & Condition
Xotic is a brand founded by Japanese builder Hiro Miura in LA.
In Japan, Yoshiteru Takahashi, BJ of indigo jam unit, and Katsuji Morioka, and outside of Japan, many famous musicians such as Chuck Rainey, Rhonda Smith, and Travis Carlton are using Xotic products.
The XJ series has been highly acclaimed, especially by studio workers, as a line manufactured in Japan.
The XJ series is basically built in the Fender manner, but with a few modern updates.
The neck joint is positioned slightly differently than usual, and you will notice that it is easier to get your left hand into the high position when you hold the instrument.
This arrangement is for the modern musician who uses the entire fingerboard fully.
This one has a classic configuration with an Ash body and Maple fingerboard.
The tuning machine is a HIPSHOT Ultralite.
The PU and preamp are Xotic originals.
The passive-like texture is highly appreciated.
The sound is neat, with a pleasant overtone while maintaining a necessary and sufficient low frequency range.
The performance quality is very high, and the overall level is high.
Traditional sounding modern JBs are always in demand, especially by session and studio musicians.
However, there are not many products that satisfy this demand in terms of quality.
The Xotic XJ is one of the best solutions to this demand.
By the way, this is the old type with the old logo.
There is no switch on the top of the body, and the look is a little bit shabbier.
The frets are about 70% remaining.
The truss rod is in good working condition.

The condition of the body and painted surface shows dents, scratches, and dull/rusty metal parts.
The electrical system is in good condition.
No obvious modifications were found.
