Description & Condition
Description & Condition
Starting with the rack-mount preamp "EBS-1," they have expanded their product line to include amplifiers, cabinets, and effects pedals.
The MultiComp is a long-selling compressor from EBS, first released in 1998. This unit is the Studio Edition, released in 2015.
It features improvements such as optimized signal path and the adoption of relay-type true bypass.
The controls are simple, consisting of two knobs, COMP/LIMIT and GAIN, and a switch to select from three modes.
COMP/LIMIT adjusts the ratio from 1:1 to 5:1, and GAIN adjusts the output from 0 to 15dB.
NORMAL is a standard 1-band compression.
MULTIBAND (MB) is a 2-band compressor where the low-frequency and high-frequency compressors operate independently, allowing for compression while maintaining low-frequency volume.
TUBESIM is a mode that enables tube simulation, adding harmonics and warmth to your sound.
The unit features individual trimmers for adjusting the high and low frequency thresholds, allowing for precise tuning.
An ACTIVE/PASSIVE switch is located next to the output jack.
Set to ACTIVE when using with an active bass or effects loop.
The power supply is compatible with 9-12V DC and includes overvoltage protection up to 18V.
With its natural effect, it's easy to leave on constantly, making it suitable for both live performances and recording.
Please give it a try.
There are some minor scratches and signs of use. It is in good working order.
