Description & Condition
Description & Condition
Today, Greco continues to manufacture guitars and has a reputation for solid quality.
Gibson copy models in particular have a high reputation, and some of them are priced in excess of 200,000 yen.
This is a Flying V bass made in the 1970s.
The body and neck appear to be mahogany.
It has a strong and crisp sound typical of Greco, and is perfect for rock.
There are approximately 60% frets remaining.
The truss rod is in good working order.
The neck is in good condition.
The string height on the 12th fret is 2.5mm on the 1st string side and 3.0mm on the 4th string side, and it is playable without any clogging or chattering. It is not that severely wavy, and we feel confident that it is still in this condition after 50 years or so.
There are scattered dings and scratches where the wood is visible.
There is a mark near the heel where a hole was filled in.
The body and painted surface are in good condition with scattered dings with visible wood throughout.
The neck pocket has a crack in the paint along the pancake joint.
Some of the cracks reach the wood, but not enough to interfere with playing.
There are paint cracks and wood cracks near the bridge anchor.
We have inspected it in regular tuning, and there is no sign of the anchor lifting.
The electrical system is in good condition.
No obvious modifications were found.
