Jazz Bass was released as a higher-end model of Precision Bass.
Its sharp, clear sound is loved by many bassists, and even today it continues to enjoy overwhelming support, giving off a shining presence.
This model is the American Standard 5-string JB, which has been showing signs of becoming popular recently.
Popular specs include Alder body and Rosewood fingerboard.
This head is equipped with 5 tuning machines and is also popular.
The tuning machine has been replaced with a Hipshot Ultralite, and a retainer has been installed for the low B string.
The bridge is also Hipshot Style B.
The PU is HUMPBACK ENGINEERING RF-5J, and the capacitor has been replaced with one also made by HUMPBACK ENGINEERING.
The cavity is shielded with conductive paint, and the electrical system as a whole has been updated to be modern.
The pickguard is a tortoiseshell type and has probably been replaced as well.
There is a stamp ""FEB 17 2000"" on the neck pocket and ""MAR 10 2000"" on the neck end.
Approximately 70% of the frets remain.
