Description & Condition
Fender is the undisputed number one brand for electric guitars and basses.
It is beloved by countless top artists, including Jaco Pastorius, Marcus Miller, and Geddy Lee.
The Jazz Bass was released as a higher-end model positioned above the Precision Bass.
Its sharp, clear sound has been cherished by many bassists, maintaining overwhelming support to this day and radiating a brilliant presence.
This model is a Jazz Bass manufactured in 1976.
A thick layer of sponge is stuck to the back of the pickups, making it impossible to verify stamps or definitively confirm its originality.
However, given its long period of storage, it is likely original.
The electronics, including the pots and jack, appear original.
While not flashy, its sound is captivating—rich with detail and capable of a loud, enveloping tone that cuts through an ensemble.
Approximately 50% of the frets remain.
The truss rod is fully tightened.
The neck has a slight forward bow and cannot be straightened further. Currently adjusted with string heights at the 12th fret: G string 2.7mm, E string 3.2mm, allowing for playable performance.
The body and finish show scattered vintage-style scratches, dents, and dulled parts.
The electronics are in good condition.
The rod nut has been replaced.
