Description & Condition

Fender is, of course, the number one brand of electric guitars and basses.

It's loved by countless top artists, including Jaco Pastorious, Marcus Miller, and Geddy Lee. (Titles omitted)

The Jazz Bass was released as a higher-end model than the Precision Bass.

Its sharp, clear sound is loved by many bassists, and it continues to receive overwhelming support and shines brightly even today.

This is a 1973 Jazz Bass.

The neck pickup volume pot date is 1377310, the bridge pickup volume pot date is 1377310, and the master tone pot date is 113773xx.

The neck end is stamped with 02011933.

Considering the specifications and serial number, we determined it was manufactured in 1973.

The body is Alder, and the fingerboard is Rosewood—popular specifications.

The pickups are original gray bobbins.

The capacitors are also original.

The parts are basically in their original condition.

Refretting and nutting have been performed.

This is a fantastic bass with a great balance of clarity and grittiness, typical of 70s Jazz Basses.

Highly recommended.

Approximately 50% of the frets remain.

The truss rod is in good condition.

The neck shows signs of high-frequency bowing. Adjusted to 0.5mm higher than the GIB standard (2.5mm-3.0mm at the 12th fret), the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd strings produce strong, clear tones at the 15th to 19th frets, but buzzing occurs. Also, the 4th string experiences significant dead spots at the 18th and 19th frets. The wood at the end of the fretboard is worn, possibly due to frequent slap playing.

The body and paintwork show signs of use, including dents, scratches, paint chipping, and feather checking. The metal parts also show some tarnishing.

The electronics are in good condition.

Refretted and replaced nut.
