Description & Condition
Description & Condition
Dragonfly is a Japanese guitar and bass brand with a long history.
We manufacture high-quality products using the knowledge and technology we have cultivated together with musicians.
It is used by many musicians, and people such as Teyan Tetsuya of Fear.and loathing in Las Vegas have been using the same brand's basses for many years.
Dragonfly has several models, but this model is CS 5, which uses a double-cut body design.
I think JB fans will also find it relatable.
The top of the body is Tamo and the back is Ash.
The neck is a laminate type of Maple and Walnut, and the fingerboard is Ebony.
It has an exotic look typical of dragonfly.
The bridge is a specially ordered GOTOH made entirely of machined brass and weighs 270g.
The normal one is made of die-cast zinc and steel and weighs 198g.
The frets are stainless steel frets designed in-house.
In fact, Dragonfly was a pioneer in the introduction of stainless steel frets into its basses.
The original preamplifier's appeal is that it doesn't get weirdly boomy even when boosted.
The slightly higher BASS band of 60Hz seems to be a good match for modern bassists.
The sound is neat, but you can definitely feel the traditional nuances, and it earnestly fulfills the role of bass required in an ensemble.
It is characterized by its straightforward responsiveness, and I think it has a sound that can be used in any genre.
Approximately 90% of the frets remain.
The truss rod works well.
The neck is in good condition.
The condition of the body and paint surface is that there are dents and scratches. No peeling of paint due to aging was observed.
The electrical system is in good condition.
No obvious modification points were found.

When setting up, I use D'addario EXL, which is highly trusted by professional musicians.
Characterized by a powerful attack and rich overtones, it is a performance worthy of being called a standard.
These are high-quality strings that bring out the maximum performance and character of your instrument, so please enjoy them as well.
GIB's craftsmen have adjusted it to make it easier to play and then deliver it to you.
