G&L (G&L) is an American brand founded by Leo Fender and George Fullerton.
Leo Fender was involved in the design of this brand until his later years, even after leaving Fender, and many instruments embodying his ideas have been created.
The Tribute Series is a series that retains the original G&L design but is produced in Indonesia to keep the price down.
This instrument is the L-2000, a representative G&L bass that appeared in 1980.
Its most distinctive feature is the Tri-Tone control system.
Two MFD humbuckers are switched using a 3-way pickup selector.
Furthermore, it has a series/parallel switch and a preamp mode switch.
The key point is that this combination allows for a wide range of sounds, from thick and powerful to clean and crisp.
The bridge is the Saddle-Lock Bridge, designed by Leo Fender.
Its structure efficiently transmits string vibrations to the body.
