Meridian Guitars is a handmade bass brand based in Avezzano, Italy.
Builder Davide Cardone's basses boast a stylish, artistic design and a unique, one-of-a-kind character.
He is committed to using the highest quality wood, seasoned over many years.
He maximizes the beauty of the wood without compromising its tonewood qualities, expressing it fully on the bass.
His philosophy regarding wood extends to the hardware as well; top-of-the-line components from Delano, Bartolini, and HIPSHOT are selected and combined according to the concept of each model.
The Aural II is one of the brand's flagship models.
The body top is ebony, the back is mahogany.
The neck is American maple, and the fingerboard is Malaysian blackwood.
The quality of the wood is unparalleled.
The pickups are Aguilar DC, and the preamp is Meridian Trinity.
The playing feel is very light, yet the sound produced is rich and full-bodied.
The low noise and refined sound image strongly suggest the high quality of the electronics, and on top of that, a straightforward and unadulterated character is strongly felt.
