Tune is a long-established bass brand based in Amagasaki City, Hyogo Prefecture.
Since its founding in 1983, it has been loved by many bassists.
This model is one of Tune's representative works.
This is a 4-string model, but it was designed with the intention of being used as a multi-string bass as well.
The body top is made of Spalted Maple, and the body back is made of Mahogany.
It exudes an oriental atmosphere.
The neck is laminated, mainly made of Maple.
The fingerboard is made of Ebony.
Such a completely black Ebony is now extremely rare.
The pickups are TUNE SWB-4H humbuckers, and the preamp is a TUNE GZP-2.
The excellent body balance, which ensures high playability, allows for seamless transitions even when switching from a Fender product.
The original pickups and preamp are also high-performance, with a fast attack, a wide range from low to high frequencies, and powerful sound. The excellence of the electronics is a major appeal of TUNE guitars, and this guitar fully demonstrates that quality.
The frets have approximately 80% remaining.
The truss rod is in good condition.
The neck is in good condition. The logo on the headstock is missing.
The body and paintwork are generally clean, although there are some minor scratches. There are signs that the bridge mounting screws penetrated through to the control cavity (near the battery box) on the back of the body. One of the four mounting screws is shorter; by using this shorter screw on the treble string side, the bridge can now be secured and used without any problems.
The electronics are in good condition.
There is a high possibility that the bridge has been replaced with a Hipshot bridge.
