Description & Condition

Musicman emerged as Leo Fender's second brand and was loved by bassists worldwide.
Even after being acquired by Ernie Ball, this remains unchanged, and it continues to be widely accepted by modern bassists.

Many artists, including Louis Johnson and Flea, are known to use Musicman basses. (Titles omitted)

The Stingray is a classic model that boasts overwhelming popularity within the brand.

Alongside Fender's Jazz Bass and Precision Bass, it's safe to say it's one of the most popular basses in the world.

This is a Stingray Special, with slightly different specifications from the standard model.

The body is made of Selected Hardwood, and the fingerboard is made of Rosewood.

It features a matching headstock painted in Vintage Cream.

The neck is made of Roasted Maple.

By treating the wood at high temperatures, moisture and oils are evaporated, resulting in high stability even in hot and humid conditions.

In terms of sound, it gives the impression of a rich, harmonic-rich tone.

The pickups and preamp are original.

Around the time the Stingray Special was released, the pickups and preamp were completely redesigned.

The pickups use neodymium magnets.

This results in a powerful and wide-range sound.

While maintaining the classic Stingray tone, it fits better into modern ensembles.

The preamp, which was previously powered by 9V, has been changed to 18V.

This results in a clearer tone with more headroom.

The 3-band EQ allows for versatile sound shaping, from a pleasant scooped midrange sound perfect for slap bass to a warm vintage tone.

If you're looking for a Stingray but it has to be vintage or classic, this is an ambitious model that we highly recommend you try.

The frets have approximately 90% remaining.

The truss rod is in good condition.

The neck is in good condition.

The body and paintwork show some minor scratches, but overall it is in good condition.
The electronics are in good working order.
No obvious modifications were observed.
