Description & Condition
Xotic is a brand founded by Japanese builder Hiro Miura in LA.
In Japan, Yoshiteru Takahashi, BJ of indigo jam unit, Katsuji Morioka, and many famous musicians outside of Japan, such as Chuck Rainey, Rhonda Smith, and Travis Carlton, are using Xotic products.
The XJ series has been highly acclaimed, especially by studio workers, as a line manufactured in Japan.
The XJ series is basically built in the Fender manner, but with some modern updates.
The neck joint is positioned slightly differently than usual, and you will notice that it is easier to get your left hand into the high position when you hold the instrument.
This arrangement is for the modern musician who uses the entire fingerboard fully.
This is a very young serial, popular early XJ1T.
The body is alder and the fingerboard is rosewood, a classic configuration.
We are not certain due to the lack of printing, but the features suggest that the PU is a Lindy Fralin.
The preamp is a Tri Logic 1.
This is really natural and allows for impedance conversion and flexible sound creation without significantly altering the passive sound.
It has a gain setting that allows you to change the volume between active and passive, or make it louder (or quieter).
This is a very highly regarded preamp.
No mini-switch on the body top, clean body top.
Push-pull on the volume allows bypassing the preamp and switching the PU wiring (series/parallel).
Middle freqency switch and gain setting can be set from the back panel.
The playing feel is smooth and you can feel the high playability.
The sound is neatly integrated and should be used in all situations without anxiety.
The hardware has been replaced with gold parts.
Gorgeous looks, which is not possible with the original.
It looks and sounds great.
The frets are approximately 80% remaining.
The truss rod is in good working order.
The neck is in good condition. There are a few minor dents on the head. The grips are slightly darkened from being played.
The body and paintwork are in good condition, with a few 2~3mm dents and scratches.
The electrical system is in good condition.
GIB has received a repair request in the past to replace all hardware with gold parts.
