Description & Condition
Warwick is a globally renowned guitar and bass brand based in Germany.
In recent years, it has begun distributing world-class brands like Sadowsky.
It has increased its presence across many fields and released numerous compelling products.
Top artists like Stuart Zender, Jonas Hellborg, and Robert Trujillo favor Warwick basses,
showcasing their excellence to the world.
While Warwick offers several models, the Thumb Bass stands out as uniquely distinctive.
This particular instrument is a slightly older through-neck Thumb Bass, manufactured in 1993.
The body is Bubinga, while the neck features a 5-ply laminate construction of Wenge and Bubinga.
This technique of laminating multiple woods for the neck minimizes lateral and individual variations, achieving greater stability. The fingerboard is made of Wenge.
The extensive use of hardwoods is a defining characteristic across the Warwick lineup.
Consequently, the sound possesses earth-shaking low end yet remains utterly clear and focused, never muddy.
While the pickup placement appears notably rear-biased, there is absolutely no sense of lacking low end.
This beautiful sound is three-dimensional and deep, giving it a rare quality where even slap playing sounds stunning.
Approximately 70% of the frets remain.
The truss rod is in good condition.
The neck is in good condition.
The body and finish show scattered dents and scratches overall. There is finish burn and some dullness on the hardware. There are two large sticker marks on the body bag.
The electronics are in good condition.
The Bass/Treble pot was faulty, so GIB replaced the pot and knob.
