Swan Custom Basses is a bass brand based in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Their high quality is especially well-regarded in North and South America, and their presence is growing significantly in other regions as well.

This is the Alpha Classic model, which incorporates classic elements.

The body features Ash. It has a very beautiful Bi-color Finish.

The neck uses 3P Hard Maple with a 柾目(Quartersawn) cut. The method of laminating multiple pieces of wood to create a neck is intended to minimize individual differences and achieve higher stability.

The fingerboard is Birdseye Maple, a traditional wood choice.

The pickups are Triple Agent by Lake Pickups from Argentina. These can be switched between Single Coil, Fat Humbucker, and Modern Humbucker via a switch.

The preamp is a Mike Pope Preamp. It is equipped with a 4-band EQ.

Controls: Volume/Tone, Balancer, Bass/Treble, Lo Mid, Hi Mid, PU wiring switch ×2, Preamp bypass switch.

The back cover is held in place by magnets, allowing it to be removed without tools. Like its sound and playability, this high level of usability is felt throughout.

While the unique round body design catches the eye, it provides an excellent balance whether playing standing or sitting.

The quality of the neck and fingerboard is extremely high, allowing for pure string vibration even with low action. There's a sense of security in this level of craftsmanship.

The sound is a "Modern Vintage" texture where smooth response and classic attack coexist.

Within the smooth playability, this character—containing rich overtones without being boomy—feels unique yet possesses universal value.

It's a bass you'll want to keep playing forever.

South American bass brands have long shown great potential, but because of their uniqueness, they haven't always been easily accepted in some markets. (The high import costs due to being on the opposite side of the globe might also be a factor.)

However, Swan has skillfully integrated those unique features into a sophisticated design suitable for a modern bass.

A new style that is neither European nor North American. A masterpiece that we would like all bassists to try.

The remaining frets are approximately 95%. The truss rod status is good. The neck status is good. The body status has some minor scratches and dings, but there are no prominent marks exposing the wood. The electronics status is good. No clear modifications were found.
