Description & Condition
Description & Condition
Sire became famous as a brand that released basses supervised by Marcus Miller.
The quality of the guitars and basses they produce is very high, and they are highly supported by people other than Marcus Miller fans.
This is a V3, which is based on a jazz bass motif.
The body material is Mahogany.
Since good quality Mahogany is distributed in Indonesia, it was probably adopted from there.
The neck is Maple and the fingerboard is Rosewood, which is a standard wood configuration.
Although this model is positioned in the entry level class, the pickups and preamp are the same as those of the popular V7 series.
Controls include volume, tone, balancer, bass, middle, middle frequency, treble, active-passive switch SW, and many more.
At first glance, they may seem complicated, but from a bassist's point of view, they are reasonably well organized.
The high degree of perfection of the electrical system is a major attraction of SIRE, so in that sense, it is not inferior to other models.
The sound is tight but rich in overtones, and powerful with just the right amount of compressiveness.
This model is a must-try for those who are looking for a Marcus-like sound, but also for those who are simply looking for a high quality jazz bass.
