Description & Condition
Sago is a handmade guitar brand located in Hyogo, Japan, that specializes in full-order production, fulfilling all requests from customers.
The regular models (though most of them are one-offs) that they make by utilizing the knowledge and skills they have cultivated over the years are also highly appreciated.
The brand is trusted by musicians, and Sago artists include Haruichi Shindo of Porno Graffitti/The Opposition, Shinji Wajima of Ningen Chair, and Sojiro Oki of Novelbright.
This model is a Custom Order CAOS.
Usually CAOS is designed with a flat top, but this one was ordered with an arch top.
It also has a back contour, red pearl binding, matching head, Avalon head logo, and many other specifications unique to Custom Order.
The body top is made of master grade Quilted Maple.
The wood grain is instantly recognizable as high quality wood, and the arch top is finished with a burst color for a very beautiful look.
The body back is made of a single piece of Honduras Mahogany.
This is a very rare and valuable wood nowadays.
The neck is Honduras Mahogany and the fingerboard is Honduras Rosewood.
The fingerboard is made of Honduras Rosewood, and the undulating grain of the fingerboard shows at a glance that it is a high grade wood.
Sago SPH-4 pickups are mounted on the neck and bridge.
The clear and well-balanced sound from the bass to treble range can only be achieved by a Japanese high-end model.
The sound when distorted is also pleasant and shows its true value in various genres.
The pickups are coil-tapable and can be operated as single coils.
A wide variety of sound variations are attractive.
The tuning machine and bridge are made by GOTOH, the nut is made of oiled cow bone, and the hardware is seamless.
This is a gem made of high-quality wood and finished with high technology.
This is a must-try for guitarists who want to get their own special one, or for guitarists who want to show their strong personality on stage.
There are approximately 90% frets remaining.
The truss rod operation and neck are in good condition.
The body and painted surface have some scratches when exposed to light, but there is no major damage and the guitar is in beautiful condition. Metal parts are dull.
There is a crack on the escutcheon, which has been replaced in the store.
