Sadowsky is a New York-based brand with clients including top musicians like Marcus Miller and Will Lee.
Currently, Sadowsky is manufactured in the US (NYC), Germany (Warwick), and China, but this model is a discontinued Japanese custom model.
Sadowsky TOKYO and Sadowsky TYO have established themselves as brands that produce custom models, not mass-produced ones.
This model is a Sadowsky TOKYO custom bass.
Based on a JB, the PU is a PJ-style pickup. The bridge is GOTOH, and a D-drop tuner is also included.
The PU has no logo, making it difficult to identify the brand.
The bridge PU is a pure single-coil pickup, not hum-canceling.
However, it does have high-quality shielding.
The neck PU has a similar feel, and overall, this is a very high-quality PU set.
The preamp is an original Sadowsky.
It's very easy to play, and the well-balanced sound of a PJ bass is attractive. This feels like a truly high-quality bass, unique to Sadowsky Tokyo.
While it might be for expert tastes, I recommend it to all bassists.

Fret Wear: Approximately 90% remaining.
Truss Rod: A bit stiff, but turns about 90 degrees without difficulty.
Neck Condition: Multiple scratches, including large dents on the grip and headstock.
Overall, there's some lifting toward the high frets.
Body Condition: No paint cracks in the neck pocket, but several scratches, including some where the paint has peeled off.
One screw is missing from the rear control plate.
Electronics Condition: Blender pot has been re-tuned.
