Description & Condition
Description & Condition
Sadowsky is a high-end brand based in New York with top musicians such as Marcus Miller and Will Lee as customers.
Until now, Metroline was manufactured in Japan, but as Warwick took over distribution of Sadowsky products, manufacturing was moved to the Warwick factory in Germany.
Since the Japanese-made Metroline models were highly regarded, there were concerns about a decline in quality, but upon seeing the actual product, such concerns are unfounded.
Compared to the Japanese-made models, the neck feels slightly thinner, and there are differences in the curvature of the body joint area.
The brand offers several lines across different price ranges, and this is the top-of-the-line Custom Shop model.
It lives up to its name with outstanding quality.
For example, the precision of the back panel, the spring mechanism for easy opening, and the sponge under the pickups all demonstrate a commitment to high-quality materials and a genuine concern for the user.
This model is the well-known 4-string JB type.
The body top features beautiful quilted maple.
Combined with the finish, it has a luxurious and exotic appearance.
The body back is American Swamp Ash.
Like the NYC model, it features chambered construction, making it surprisingly lightweight.
The neck is Roasted Maple, and the fingerboard is Morado.
The superior electronics deliver powerful sound even at low string heights.
Both playability and sound quality are balanced at a high level.
The pickups are reportedly different from both the old Metro Line and NYC models, but they produce a clean and beautifully designed sound.
This is a highly recommended instrument that we encourage you to try playing.
The remaining frets are approximately 85%.
The truss rod is in good condition.
The neck is in good condition.
The body and finish show minor scratches, but there are no noticeable defects, making it a fine-condition instrument.
The electronics are in good condition.
No obvious modifications were found.
