This is a power supply made by an effects professional.
A typical power supply has an output of 9V, but a new battery usually outputs about 9.6 to 9.8V.
This has been a major difference in sound between a power supply and a battery, but this unit provides a voltage of 9.6V, just like a new battery, for effects devices (boosters and overdrives) that focus on dynamics and consume less current.
This means that pedals that were previously thought to sound better on batteries can now use the power supply with good sound.
Each output has a built-in protection circuit that prevents short circuits, so that if a short occurs on any output, it will not affect the other outputs, and also has a double filtering function to prevent noise contamination.
As for noise, the DC outputs are grounded to star ground to suppress hum noise.
