Description & Condition
Nordstrand is a US-based brand that primarily manufactures pickups.
Carey Nordstrand, the owner of the company, has worked as a master builder for Suhr Guitars for five years.
His pickups are popular because of his extensive experience and careful hand-wound by craftsmen.
Nordstrand pickups are used by many guitar brands such as Warwick, LEH Guitars, and Roscoe Basses, and are favored by professional bassists.
Nordstrand is not only an excellent pickup manufacturer, but also produces excellent quality basses.
At one time, the Nordy was a common sight, but it is rarely seen on the market these days.
It is a little regrettable because Nordstrand was famous for its high quality at that time.
It is still a shame to see this one in person. It's a shame, because it is wonderful.
Basically, it is an excellent work that is based on the JB motif and carefully incorporates high-grade hardware such as HIPSHOT tuners, Nordstrand pickups, and an audere preamp.
The sound is balanced, easy to play, neat and beautiful as a matter of course.
The body is made of alder and the fingerboard is rosewood, a classic configuration.
In a sense, it feels like it was made in Japan.
If you like brands that incorporate American hardware well, such as Wood Custom Guitar or Xotic, this guitar will fit in quite well.
The neck pocket is stamped "#23 sleek elite 6-6-07".
There is roughly 80% frets remaining.
The truss rod is in good working order.
The neck is in good condition. The metal parts are noticeably dull.
The condition of the body and painted surface shows scattered scratches. The lower hole where the pickguard was originally attached is noticeable.
The electrical system is in good condition.
The nuts appear to have been replaced.
