Description & Condition
Momose is known for its beautiful looks and excellent sound.
Momose basses are popular among professionals and have been used by top musicians such as Kazuki Isogai and Kyohei Ariga.
The MJ Five is an ambitious design based on the traditional JB style, incorporating unique design details.
This is the so-called Show model manufactured by Divisor in 2018.
It is a romantic piece with ancient woods such as Jindai Nire and Jindai Tamo used for the body.
Here is a quote from the official description.
The following is a quote from the official description of the model
Jindai Nire" means "wood from the time of the gods" or "wood that replaced the gods. Sometimes fallen trees, rather than trees cut down for materials or raw materials, remain in shape for many years without decomposing in water, volcanic ash, or in the ground. Trees that have been buried in soil, water, or ash for more than 1,000 years are called "Jindai-ki. Jindai-gi can only be found by chance and rarely appears during landslides or civil engineering works. Its unique color has a mysterious charm that cannot be seen in any other wood.
This wood can be painted with a topcoat.
The wood is finished with a top lacquer finish.
The atmosphere is as you can see.
The neck is made of maple and the fingerboard is made of ebony.
This ebony is really pitch black, and it is almost impossible to use something like this nowadays.
Guitar brands are always looking around for it, but it is still hard to find.
I think they really don't have any.
The scale is 34 inches.
The PU is a momose original with an established reputation, and the preamp is an Aguilar OBP-2.
Controls are volume, balancer, tone, treble/bass, and preamp bypass switch.
The tuning keys and bridge are Gotoh, and the frets are Jescar and high spec.
The sound, which includes plenty of swinging bass and atacky, air-breathing treble, has universal appeal in an ensemble.
This is a must-try for the bassist who is not only a hands-on bassist, but also for the bassist who wants to get a special one just for himself.
Very little fret wear.
The truss rod is in good working order and the neck is in good condition.
The body and paintwork are in good condition, with three 3mm dents on the body back and a 50mm scratch on the back panel.
The body and paintwork are in good condition, with only three 3mm dents on the body back and a 50mm scratch on the back panel.
