Description & Condition
Momose, based in Matsumoto, Nagano, produces high quality basses and guitars.
Momose basses and guitars are known for their beautiful looks and excellent sound.
Momose basses are popular among professionals and have been used by top musicians such as Kazuki Isogai and Kyohei Ariga.
MJ is a series based on the traditional JB style with unique design details.
This is the EWC (Exotic Wood Custom) series, which is a lavish use of beautiful, treasured woods.
It was made for DEVISER's big trade show in 2024, so it is a Show Model.
The body back is made of one piece Alder without lamination.
The body top is made of Flame Tochi, which is characterized by its deep grain.
Finished in a beautiful see-through green color, it has an elegant appearance.
The neck is made of beautiful quarter-sawn Maple, and the fingerboard is made of rare one-tone Ebony.
The high quality of these materials can only be found in the show model.
Especially Ebony is not available in really high quality these days.
The luxurious use of such a luxurious wood is the reason why this is a Show Model.
Paint is Top Lacquer finish.
The color of the coating changes drastically as the top clear layer discolors.
This balance of using a strong paint such as urethane for the base and using lacquer for the top, which is related to the looks of the instrument, is very rational.
The tuners and bridge are by GOTOH, and the frets are by Jescar.
A Mojotone PU is used and an Aguilar OBP-2 preamp.
The sound, which includes plenty of shimmering bass and air-breathing treble, has universal appeal in an ensemble.
This is a must-try for the bassist who is not only a hands-on bassist, but also for the bassist who wants to get a special one just for him or herself.
