J.W.Black did not try to make a 5-string JB under his own brand.
I've had people tell me that their work here is based on Leo Fender motifs.

Therefore, the J.W.Black brand 5-string bass would not have been possible without this series made in Japan.

It has a classic configuration with an alder body and rosewood fingerboard.
It is distinctive in that it has a vintage style base motif but has modern elements.

Complete with CTS pot, Circle D capacitor, cross wire and electrical system.
Regarding PU, it seems to be from the Callahan brand similar to USA.
