Gibson is the king of the guitar world, having produced many classic instruments.

While their guitars are particularly popular, their basses, known for their unique looks and rock sound, are also extremely popular.

This model is a Grabber Bass from the late 1970s.

The potentiometer date is 1975.

The serial number was also taken into consideration to determine the approximate age.

The body is likely mahogany, with a maple neck and fingerboard.

The bridge has been replaced with a BADASS BASS.

The original pickups can be moved back and forth.

This is a unique design, but it will likely be useful for achieving subtle changes in tone when recording.

The fat, deep, and powerful sound that is characteristic of Gibson is very appealing.

This bass has the potential to be useful not only for rock bassists, but also for R&B and funk.

Approximately 55% of the frets remain.

The truss rod is stiff, but has been confirmed to move about 90 degrees.
The neck is in good condition. The set screw on the 4th-string saddle is stripped, making it impossible to adjust the string height. It is set at 4.2mm at the 12th fret. Also, due to the bridge's specifications, the string height for the 1st through 3rd strings cannot be lowered all the way, so each string is adjusted by 3.0mm at the 12th fret. It is currently playable without any issues.

The body and finish show signs of wear, with peeling paint, scratches, and dents. There are also traces of screw holes that appear to have been made when the bridge cover was installed.

The electrical system has a scratchy sound around the 8-10 mark on the volume knob.

The bridge has been replaced with a BADASS BASS.
