Kz Guitar Works is a brand of high-quality guitars based in Zushi, Kanagawa Prefecture.
Kz Guitar Works is known for producing the Brian May model of Queen guitars, which are highly acclaimed around the world.
In addition to the highly acclaimed Red Special, the manufacturer's original models are highly regarded for their excellent playability and high-quality sound, and are currently used by famous guitarists such as Katsumi Watanabe.
This model is the original Kz One Air.
It was developed based on the concept of an electric guitar that can be easily played in the living room and sounds comfortable even when unplugged.
This model was displayed at Yokohama Music Style 2025.
The body top and back are made of maple, and the body sides are made of mahogany.
The archtop body with f-holes and the sunburst color combination give it a traditional look that appeals to everyone.
The solid guitar-like size and chambered full-acoustic body make it very easy to handle and has a good volume and boxy sound.
The unique chambered construction means that the lower part of the bridge is not hollowed out, so the bridge is equipped with a tune-o-matic & stop tailpiece.
This allows the tuned-o-matic & stop tailpiece to provide stability and accurate intonation of each string, while reducing the weight of the body.
The neck is Mahogany and the fingerboard is Madagascar Rosewood.
The rare Madagascar Rosewood used for the fingerboard has a sound tendency similar to that of Jacaranda, and is known as a high-grade material.
The neck shape is a bit grippy, but the quality of the frets and neck area is high, and the guitar has a boxy sound but smooth playability.
The strings are 10-46 as shipped, and the scale is 25 inches.
Pickups are Kz Classic Humbucker based on vintage 50's humbuckers.
The sound is clear and fat.
The sound is clear and fat, faithful to the picking nuance, and shows various expressions depending on the player, which shows the depth of this model.
The tuning machines are Gotoh locking type, and the nut is made of highly wear-resistant Black TUSQ.
This guitar is a good mix of elements of electric and acoustic guitars, and is a great choice for both the living room and the stage.
