Fender is, of course, the number one brand of electric guitars and basses.
It's loved by countless top artists, including James Jamerson, Bobby Vega, and Michael League. (Titles omitted)
The Precision Bass, introduced in 1951 as the world's first fretted solid-body electric bass, has been loved by bassists worldwide for over half a century.
This is a Precision (Bass) Special manufactured in the early 1980s.
A distinctive feature is its active circuitry.
The body is made of alder according to the catalog at the time, and the neck and fretboard are made of one-piece maple—a classic configuration.
It weighs a heavy 4.630 kg.
The wood grain visible through the neck pocket appears to be ash, but please understand that it's difficult to determine for sure.
The body has been refinished by GIB.
The original color was LPB (Low Pale Black) without sun fading, but due to the aging process upon arrival, we recreated a sun-faded, greenish LPB color to match the headstock color.
Both the pickups and preamp are original.
The powerful and slightly peaky texture, characteristic of older preamps, is actually quite appealing.
The sound is very powerful and big, with a thick low end.
This is a genuine Precision Bass with an attractive, high-quality look.
The frets have approximately 70% remaining.
The truss rod is in good condition.
The neck is in good condition.
There are some dents and scratches on the body and paintwork. Some tarnishing is visible on the metal parts.
The electronics have a slight crackling noise from the tone pot.
The body has been refinished. The joint plate has been replaced. The strap pins have been replaced. The backplate has been replaced. The jack has been replaced with a current Switchcraft jack.

The warranty period is 3 months for used items and 1 year for new items.
