Description & Condition
Fender is the undisputed number one brand of electric guitars and basses.
Fender is loved by countless top artists such as Jaco Pastorious, Marcus Miller, and Geddy Lee.
The Jazz Bass was released as a higher-end model of the Precision Bass.
Its sharp and clear sound has been loved by many bassists, and even today it enjoys overwhelming support and a shining presence.
The serial number of this guitar is 1976, but the pot date is 1974, and the neck joint is a 4-point fastener, which suggests the year is 1974.
With the recent price hike of vintage Fenders, the 1970's vintage Fenders are very popular because they are still affordable.
The body is Alder and the fingerboard is Rosewood, a wood composition that is rather reminiscent of the 1960s.
There was a problem with the pickups, which were replaced with Fender American Vintage Series pickups by GIB.
The pickguard and bridge PU volume pots are not original, the jack has been replaced with a Switchcraft, and the strap pins have been replaced with Jim Dunlop (looks like).
The neck PU volume and tone pot dates are 1377429 and 1377433.
The frets look like they were repaired by rubbing them together.
The overall condition of the neck is very good, and this is a player-friendly piece that retains excellent playability.
The remaining frets are approximately 70%.
The truss rod is in good working order and the neck is in good condition.
The body and paintwork are in good condition with some age-related dings, scratches, and weather checks.
The electrical system is in good condition.
