Description & Condition
Fender is undoubtedly the number one brand for electric guitars and basses.
Its popularity extends to countless top artists, including Jaco Pastorious, Marcus Miller, and Geddy Lee. (Titles omitted)
The Jazz Bass was released as a premium model of the Precision Bass.
Its sharp, clear sound is beloved by many bassists, and it continues to enjoy overwhelming support and a shining presence to this day.
Fender Japan is no longer a brand, but many artists still use it, and its high quality has earned it a solid reputation.
This is a fretless bass.
Manufactured by JB62-77FL
The body is made of alder and the fingerboard is made of rosewood, a classic design.
The pickups have been replaced with BASS LINES SJB-2 pickups and a Pure Tone jack.
The bridge has been replaced with a BADASS BASS II.
The rich, powerful, singing tone holds its own even in large ensembles.
The remaining frets are approximately 100% fretless.
The truss rod is stiff, but has been confirmed to operate at about 90 degrees.
The neck is adjusted to GIB standards (2.0mm-2.5mm at the 12th fret), but there is some buzzing when pressing the first string at the first fret. (This is not noticeable when playing through an amplifier.) This is thought to be caused by a straight or backbow from the treble strings between 1st and 5th frets, with a forward bow from there onwards. To completely eliminate the buzzing, the first string's string height needs to be adjusted to 2.8mm at the 12th fret.
The body and finish show occasional dents and scratches. There is also some tarnish on the metal parts.
The electrical system is in good condition.
The pickups have been replaced with Seymour Duncan BASS LINES SJB-2s. The bridge has been replaced with a BADASS BASS II.
