The Jazz Bass was released as a higher-end model of the Precision Bass.
Its sharp, clear sound is loved by many bassists, and even today it continues to enjoy overwhelming support, giving off a shining presence.
This is a genuine Jazz Bass that literally reproduces the specs of the 1960s.
In the catalog at the time, it is listed as US Vintage 1962 Jazz Bass.
Manufactured in 1990.
"FEB. 27 1990" is written on the neck end.
The body is Alder and the fingerboard is Rosewood, making it a classic wood composition.
The candy apple red and matching head specification does not originally exist in American Vintage.
There is a possibility that it is a special line such as FSR, but considering various factors such as the year of manufacture, we have concluded that this is either a custom order made by Yamano Musical Instruments, the importing agent at the time, or that Yamano Musical Instruments made some modifications after importing it.
The controls are 2 volumes and 1 tone, and we believe this is a modification, but it is also possible that this was the specification from when it was sold new.
The warm, stable feel that fills the low range of the ensemble makes it a bassist's best friend.
It is a series that is currently out of print, and I feel that the prices of individuals from around here before 2000 will continue to rise in price.
Approximately 60% of the frets remain.
The truss rod works well.
The neck is in good condition.
The condition of the body and paint surface is that there are some dents and scratches here and there. In addition, there is some wear and tear on the paint, and there is some signs of use. There is something like a signature on the joint plate.
The electrical system is in good condition.
The controls have been replaced with 2 volumes and 1 tone. The pot is made by CTS. The capacitor has been replaced with a Luxe Red Dime.
The pickup fence and bridge cover screws were missing, so I installed them using GIB.
