Fender is the undisputed number one brand of electric guitars and basses. Fender is loved by countless top artists such as Jaco Pastorious, Marcus Miller, Geddy Lee, and many more.

The Jazz Bass was released as a higher-end model of the Precision Bass. Its sharp and clear sound has been loved by many bassists, and even today it enjoys overwhelming support and a shining presence.

This model is a Jazz Bass manufactured in 1977.

The golden combination of Ash body and Maple fingerboard.

The stamp on the back of the neck reads "2271," which, together with the serial number, is the basis for determining the year as 1977.

The pot dates match CTS 1976 for both volumes at 13776xx and CTS 1976 for the tone at 1377613.

The capacitors are ITW and are believed to be original.

Pickups are usually gray bobbins, but these are black bobbins. This suggests that they may have been replaced.

The color of the lead wire on the neck pickup leads me to think it might be a Seymour Duncan product, but it is difficult to say for sure.

The frets are roughly 70% remaining.

The truss rod action is a little stiff, but we have confirmed that it works about 90°.

The neck is in a forward warp at the 1st to 5th frets, and after that it is in a reverse warp, and there is a slight high rise. However, the string height at the 12th fret is 2.5mm on the 1st string side and 3.0mm on the 4th string side, and it is in playable condition with no sound jamming or chattering. Not bad.

The tuners appear to be original, but there is evidence of repair to the holes under the mounting screws, so there may have been a time when the tuners were replaced with pegs of the same standard. The peg buttons on the first and fourth strings are distorted, but they are in good working order.

The nut appears to have been replaced. From that point, it suggests that it may have been refretted. The high position is fretted lower than the low position, suggesting that it has been fretted in the past.

The condition of the body and paint surface is vintage looking with numerous paint peels and dings. The bottom hole of the original endpin has been filled in, and a new endpin has been installed slightly to the side of it.

The body end is dotted with fairly large dents. Some of the cracks in the paint have reached the wood, but nothing that would interfere with playing the instrument in its current state.

There are seal marks on the back of the body. There is an unnatural gouge in the wood near the jack on the control cavity.

The electrical system is in good condition. Pickups have probably been replaced.

The bridge has been replaced with a BADDAS II. Standard.

D'addario EXL, trusted by professional musicians, is used in the setup. Characterized by a powerful attack and rich overtones, this performance is truly worthy of being called a standard. Please enjoy these high-quality strings that bring out the performance and character of the instrument to the fullest, so please enjoy them as well.
