Description & Condition

D'mark Guitars is a Brazilian guitar brand established in 1998.

Its quality is highly regarded, earning support not only in South America but also from musicians in Europe and America, such as Andrew Gouche.

This particular instrument is a Master Series model, specially assembled for Japan by order of GIB.

The FUSION III is a new model designed for Andrew Gouche.

The body is crafted from Brazilian Mahogany.

This is a staple wood for D'mark Guitars, offering excellent overall balance and possessing characteristics that particularly suit multi-string basses in terms of both weight and sound.

The neck utilizes Brazilian Hard Marfim.

Though an unfamiliar wood, its high strength makes it ideal for constructing items bearing heavy loads, like floors and chairs.

Perfect for a neck, then.

The fingerboard wood is Hard Maple.

The pickups and preamp are original.

It features a 3-band EQ with controls for Volume, Balance, Treble, Middle, Bass, Preamp Bypass switch, and Middle Frequency Switch.

It uses a bolt-on neck joint construction like the JbX, not a through-neck like the Alpha or Omega.

However, the pickup layout is closer to the former, resulting in a design that feels more JB-like with a stronger sense of response and sharper nuances.

If you seek the crisp attack and deep low end often heard in gospel-style bass sounds, this tone will likely appeal to you.

While South American instruments are high-quality and distinctive, many are overly unique. This has made it challenging for brands to compete in the North American-style electric bass market.

However, this brand, gaining recognition in recent years, blends North American styles, resulting in a more approachable finish.

Approximately 90% of the frets remain.

The truss rod is in good condition.

The neck is in good condition.

The body and finish show no noticeable scratches and are in excellent condition.

The electronics are in good condition.

No obvious modifications were observed.
