Description & Condition

ALUSONIC is an Italian brand that produces guitars, basses and cabinets incorporating aluminium as a material.

As most of the design and hardware development is done in-house, the final products are all highly consistent and perfectly balanced at a high level.

The J-Special is a stylish take on a traditional style with a body shape.
The aluminium inlaid into the body top has a special finish that gives it a unique look that differs from the grain of the wood.

The body back is chambered ash with a thin urethane finish that allows the grain to show through.

The pickups are custom Delano split-coil types.
They were custom-made for bassist Pinhage's signature model from the company.

The originally developed pre-amp has a three-band EQ for powerful sound and comfortable control.
The sound is "real" even at extreme settings (e.g. full all the way up), with no fuzziness when boosted.

Very little fret wear.
The truss rod is in good working order and the neck is in good condition.
Body and paintwork are in good condition with only a few scratches.
The PU, tuning keys, bridge and pickguard have been replaced from the original. (Most of all, the originality may not be worth much as all Alusonic guitars are basically custom models).

Pitbull Strings, which we import and distribute, are used in the set-up.
These are high quality strings that sound natural and bring out the best performance and character of the instrument, so please enjoy them as well.

The GIB craftsmen will adjust them to make them easier to play and deliver them to you.
