While the standard model uses Indian rosewood, this model uses a wood with properties closer to Brazilian rosewood.

And yet, the open, treble-filled tone that's characteristic of a 4-string is still appealing.
Perhaps because it uses Jimmy Wood, which is harder than typical rosewood, the nuance of the strings bouncing across the fingerboard and the speedy sound give it an almost vintage feel.
While the brand is particularly popular for its 5-strings, the 4-string style also has a truly wonderful balance and sound.
