Xotic is a brand founded in LA by Japanese builder Hiro Miura.
Many famous musicians use Xotic, including Chuck Rainey, Rhonda Smith, and Travis Carlton.
This XTB-1T is a new model released in 2025.
We were able to secure a very small amount for the first production run.
As you can see, this is based on OPB.
The body is Ash and the fingerboard is Maple, a classic wood composition.
The color is Butterscotch Blonde and the paint is Lacquer for a beautiful finish.
The tuning machine is Hipshot Ultralite, and the bridge is also Hipshot Style B.
Personally, I think the use of a simple bridge is a great match.
The position marks are LUMINOVA's luminescent type, making them easy to see even on a dark stage.
The frets are Jescar.
The PU is original and is matched with the well-established Xotic manufactured preamplifier.
Generally, OPB has a strong impression of being passive, but the Xotic preamplifier, which has an extremely natural texture, adds greater convenience and expandability of sound without sacrificing its charm.
It's a wonderful new piece that is very easy to play like a modern bass, and gives you the full feel of the richness of the sound typical of OPB.
