Description & Condition
Xotic is a brand founded by Japanese builder Hiro Miura in LA.
Many famous musicians such as Allen Hinds, Toshi Yanagi, Oz Noy, and Yuya Komoguchi use Xotic.
This is a special one custom-ordered by TONIQ.
The XSC series is inspired by the traditional double cutaway guitar style, but incorporates modern elements throughout.
It is handmade in California, U.S.A. by craftsmen using high grade wood.
The body is made of Ash.
Black color with nitrocellulose lacquer and extremely thin finish.
Hardware is gold. It looks cool against the black body.
The realistic Midium Aged finish on the body gives the guitar an old-like look.
The neck is made of 4A grade Roasted Maple.
Roasted Maple is a wood that is treated at high temperatures to volatilize the water and oil inside the wood, which makes it highly stable.
Originally a building material for saunas in Finland, it is particularly resistant to high temperatures and humidity.
Not only is it practical, but the beautiful grain of the 4A grade wood is also very attractive.
Rosewood was specified for the fingerboard.
The fretboard is made of dark Rosewood, which is a wood that has been carefully selected.
Hand-wound Raw Vintage RV60 pickups are installed in the Neck and Middle positions.
The bridge position is equipped with a hand-wound Raw Vintage RV-PAF, making the SSH pickup layout suitable for any genre of music.
The Neck Middle position produces a rich, sparkling sound, while the Bridge position produces a clear, warm sound.
Other hardware features include a GOTOH 6-point tremolo unit and locking pegs, Raw Vintage tremolo spring and saddle, and JESCAR frets.
For this order, an Ash body and Rosewood fretboard were used, a spec that is typical of the components.
To further accentuate the gold parts, a black-colored body and a black Rosewood fingerboard were combined, and a tortoiseshell pickguard was selected for a more gorgeous look.
The looks, sound, and playability all make this a high-class gem.
