Sire rose to fame as a brand releasing basses supervised by Marcus Miller.

The quality of the guitars and basses they produce is extremely high, and they are highly regarded even by people outside of Marcus' fan base.

This is their new V6-4.
As you can see, it's a model inspired by the Jazz Bass.

While the models they usually produce are classic in style, this one has a more modern style.

The body top is made of ash and the back is made of mahogany.
High-quality mahogany from Indonesia was used to ensure both looks and sound.

The finish of the fingerboard and frets is excellent.
Naturally, at this price point, the finish is of a high quality that rivals even models in higher price ranges.

The original pickups are paired with an active circuit, in keeping with Marcus's style.

There is no control plate, with the controls mounted directly on the body top.

These are named the Marcus Super-J Revolution Set and the Marcus Heritage-3 (No-Mid Frequency).

The controls consist of volume, tone, balance, treble, middle, and bass (switchable between active and passive with a push-pull).

While the V3, 7, and 8 featured a mid-frequency control, this model has simpler controls.

In that respect, it could be said to be a more classic active bass.

Also, by fixing the mid-range, the manufacturer was able to design a more intentional overall sound.

This is something that Sire has now achieved, thanks to the knowledge they have gained from producing so many products.

It features a tight yet powerful sound that is rich in overtones and has just the right amount of compression.

This is a model that we would recommend to anyone looking for a Marcus-esque sound, as well as anyone simply looking for a high-quality jazz bass.

The warranty period is three months for used items and one year for new items.
