This model is the V5, inspired by the Jazz Bass.
While there are several models in the V series, this one features a design that evokes a vintage feel.
The neck is crafted from roasted maple with a satin finish.
This is also known as thermo-treated wood.
Thermo-treated wood, which was first put to practical use in the musical instrument industry by the Japanese company Sago, was originally used in Finland as construction material for saunas.
While thermo-treated wood is highly valued for its resistance to high temperatures and humidity, its usefulness for musical instruments is evident from the fact that top-tier manufacturers such as Sadowsky and Suhr have adopted it.
Apparently, a certain amount of thermo-treated wood is discarded during the processing stage.
It’s likely that even pieces that might warp in the future will be used here.
Sound-wise, it gives the impression of a rich, mature tone.
The fingerboard is made of rosewood.
