Sire became famous as the brand that released the bass supervised by Marcus Miller.
The quality of the guitars and basses they produce is very high, and they are highly supported by people other than Marcus fans.
Although Sire is a brand with a strong JB style image, this M series has modern features and is highly regarded.
The body is made of Swamp Ash, the fingerboard is Ebony and the neck is Maple.
The finish of the fingerboard and frets is excellent.
The quality of the finish is high and comparable to higher priced models, as is to be expected in this price range.
It has the original humbucking PU and a pre-amp with 3-band EQ.
These are named Marcus Pure-H Revolution Set and Marcus Miller Heritage-3 with Middle.
