This is a Lexell 5, a model known to be a favorite of Wakazaemon.

As you can see from the pickup placement, it primarily aims for a JB-like sound.

This particular guitar is a show model created for the NAMM SHOW held in January 2026.

The ""77RFC"" designation is based on Marcus Miller's 1977 Fender JB.

The body features an ash body and a maple fingerboard, a popular configuration.

The lightweight body weighs less than 4kg, and the neck finish is satin, creating a classic motif with plenty of modern elements.

The pickups are usually original, but this one features the Lollar Pickups 70's Pickups Strings Set.
The guitar also features a 70s Fender design, with the bridge pickup slightly offset toward the end of the body.

The preamp is a Bartolini TCT.

It has a different texture from the so-called modern high-range active basses, with strong nuances of the so-called NYC sound.

And yet it's highly playable, with a subtle, refined tone that prevents it from being too peaky.

It's a masterpiece with a neat balance that feels like a fusion of the manufacturer's strong concept and sound design that is representative of the bass world.
