By putting strings through the peg posts and tightening the screws, the strings are secured and tuning stability is improved.
The advantage of this peg is that it shortens the time it takes to wrap the string around the string post, making string changes easier.
The string post is made of brass as in the USA model.

The normal labor charge for peg replacement (without modification) is 4,400 yen, but we will replace them free of charge for those who have purchased a PRS model at our store.
Special processing is required to install on models with Cruson type pegs such as SE Zach Myers, SE Pauls Guitar, SE Silver Sky, SE McCarty594, etc. If you would like us to replace the pegs on these models, please contact us.
If you wish to replace the pegs on the above models, please understand that we will have to take the guitar back to the factory once to have the wooden parts processed.
In this case, the labor charge is 12,650 yen.
