Infinite is the private brand of High End Music, a repair workshop in Osaka.
The quality of the guitars and basses they produce is highly regarded due to the extensive knowledge and skills they have cultivated in the repair business.
This model is a 5-string JB model specially custom-ordered by GIB.
The Trad JB5 is basically inspired by traditional jazz basses.
Despite this, it has a unique construction in various areas, such as the BFTS (Buzz Feiton Tuning System) as standard.
The scale is 33.5 in.
Although only 0.5" different than the standard scale, it offers significant advantages in playability without significantly changing the sound.
When you actually hold it, it gives the impression of being smaller than the number, as if you were a larger sized American.
Some may have concerns about the sound, but once you actually play it, you will quickly realise that there is no need for such concerns.
The neck is jointed deep into the body.
This greatly reduces the possibility of any possible off-centre movement.
There is of course an acoustic effect due to the larger joint area and the greater proportion of maple in the neck material overall.
The neck joint and the fingerboard-neck bonding are made of interlocking grooves.
The frets are made of JESCAR stainless steel frets.
The characteristic shape is a large rounded fingerboard excluding the fretted area.
This type of finish has recently been adopted by American brands such as Pensa.

The combination of the Hipshot bridge and lightweight pegs (Hipshot Ultralight, GOTOH RES O LITE, etc.) is comfortable, and seems to bring a light playing feel and rich overtones in the middle range.

The Bartolini XTCT is a sharp and powerful pre-amplifier.
It has been around for a relatively long time and may seem old-fashioned, but it is one of the best preamps of any era.
The spotted maple is of excellent quality, as you can see.
All in all, it has been finished to a high quality.
The workmanship is such that it shows off the high technical and design skills of the workshop. It's fantastic.
