HEX Guitars is a Korea-based brand that specializes in products in the entry to middle class price range.
They have their own factory in Indonesia and do their own manufacturing.
This is what differentiates HEX Guitars from other brands that generally manufacture their products on an OEM basis.
Because they are so passionate about their products that they do not leave them to other companies' factories, but rather have the bosses themselves go into the field, they are able to manufacture guitars of such high quality that you would never guess from the price.
The NB300 is a bass from the newly launched “NEXT SERIES.
It is equipped with modern and substantial specs such as a 30” short scale, stainless steel frets, and a laminated neck.
The sophisticated body shape is made of Indian Mahogany.
The neck features a laminated design of Maple and Walnut.
By laminating several woods together to form the neck, the left-right difference is reduced and a high degree of stability and solidity is obtained.
The fingerboard is made of Indian Laurel, and the fretboard radius is 12 inches, which is flat.
The neck shape is relatively thin and slim C-shape.
The frets are made of stainless steel.
Stainless steel is cloudless and has high hardness.
Stainless steel frets are popular because they keep shining forever and are extremely hard to wear out.
They are also used by high-end guitar brands such as Suhr Guitars.
The PU is the original humbucking type.
They use the original PU in many models.
This is not because of cost cutting, but because they are confident in the quality of the PUs they design themselves.
The staff members who know music and play music on a daily basis have thoroughly researched and designed many elements such as magnets, wires, bobbins, and so on.
The balance in your hand is very good, and if you are a regular Fender player, you will not find the HEX NB difficult to play.
It is also very lightweight, weighing about 2.7~3.1kg (actual measurement). (Please note that you can not choose the individual piece.)
The sound is clean and headless, yet does not lose any musical overtones or bass fullness.
The very high quality of the basic neck area makes it highly playable, and it would be difficult to assert that it is inferior to more expensive instruments.
Overall, this is a great product with high quality in looks, playability, and sound.
You may be put off by the fact that it is a headless instrument, but I urge you to try it for yourself.

As a side note, I met them at the Sound Messe in Osaka in 2024.
At first, I misheard the price as 6,000USD and put the deal on hold, thinking “the quality is high, but the price is also high.
But later I realized that I had misheard and that the price was actually 600 USD, so I immediately contacted them.
A few days later, we had another meeting in Seoul and agreed that GIB, TONIQ would be responsible for HEX's commercial distribution in the Japanese market.
Since then, we have had frequent meetings with them, and we have finally managed to start sales this time.
