The VP4 is a digital pedal system based on the top-of-the-line Axe-Fx III guitar processor.
It is useful for electric guitars and basses, as well as for acoustic guitars.

The VP4 offers more than 400 effectors assignable to 104 presets.
Each of the four footswitches can be assigned an effector, literally acting as a Virtual Perdal Board.

Uncompromising sound quality: True to Fractal Audio's reputation, the VP4 offers true-to-life sound quality and is suitable for use on the world's most prestigious stages and studios.
Four footswitches: Classic on/off switching makes the VP4 as easy and intuitive to use as four conventional pedals. Meanwhile, the factory default “gig mode” switching system puts presets, scenes, effects, channels, tuners, and tap tempo at your feet.
104 presets: each preset is like a complete pedalboard with four effects to choose from. This flexibility allows one VP4 to replace an entire collection of other effects. In addition, each preset has its own noise gate, master EQ/levels, and more.
Expression pedal compatibility: Connect up to two expression pedals or switches for real-time control of effect settings; the Fractal Audio EV-1 and EV-2 are great choices.
Accurate Tuner: In addition to a dedicated large display tuner mode, the VP4 includes a convenient “mini-tuner” that is always visible; it uses the latest pitch detector from Axe-Fx III; it can also be used with the Fractal Audio EV-1 and EV-2, which are both available for the VP4.
Flexible, high-quality connectivity: mono/stereo analog I/O with unity gain and ultra-low noise floor, “4CM mode” allows effects to be split before the amp and in the loop. In addition, buffered analog bypass, SPDIF digital I/O, MIDI I/O, and USB audio/MIDI functionality.
