Description & Condition
Element is a collaboration between Fendt's Finest, a boutique shop that carries many top-tier bass brands, and Torillo Basses.
We met the two in the 2010s and remain friends and do business with them to this day.
GIB has imported the Torillo Basses brand to Japan many times, and we highly value their high quality.
Element basses are favored by musicians like Kiko Woiski, and are highly regarded by musicians.
Tom, the builder of Torillo Basses who makes Element, is himself a professional bassist.
As a result, the playability and sound of Element basses are designed purely for musicians.
This is one of the first three basses ordered after we were notified of the brand's launch.
(Incidentally, one of the three was purchased by Yohan Kim, known for his sessions with top K-pop artists such as ITZY.)
This is a modern model inspired by the JB style, and feels more natural to hold than the JB.
The body is made of alder and the fingerboard is rosewood, inspired by classic Fender style.
The tuners are GOTOH and the bridge is a HIPSHOT.
The single-coil pickups and preamp are original designs.
The FET-based preamp features a two-band EQ with 15dB boost at 50Hz and 3.5kHz.
The sound is powerful, with a massive resonance from low to high end.
It remains powerful throughout, from the generous low end to the powerfully attacking high end.
This kind of full-range sound is not found in classic basses.
The smooth transition from the E string to the G string is particularly noteworthy, producing a clear, crisp, and powerful bass.
The way your left hand fits around the neck, the supple vibration of the strings is transmitted throughout the instrument, and the powerful, air-shaking sound all convey a modern, top-notch sound.
I recommend it.
