Description & Condition
Dragonfly is a Japanese guitar and bass brand with a long history.
They manufacture high-quality products using knowledge and technology cultivated in collaboration with musicians.
Many musicians use their basses; for example, Teyan Tetsuya of Fear.and Loathing in Las Vegas has been using Dragonfly basses for many years.
Dragonfly offers several models, but this model is the newly launched CL-DJB5, a classic JB style.
It's a simple, high-quality JB, and several customization options are available.
This particular model is a special limited edition, featuring a body made of Monky Pod wood.
While not many may know it, many will recognize it as the "Hitachi tree" from television commercials.
It's one of Hawaii's representative woods, and its sound is characterized by a warm midrange and a tight attack.
The frets are slightly thinner, giving it a vintage feel.
The preamp can be chosen between the original and a Darkglass preamp; this model uses the original type.
It gives the impression of converting impedance while maintaining a natural and straightforward sound.
The controls are volume, balancer, tone, treble, middle, bass, and a preamp on/off switch.
The sound quality is also excellent, delivering a sharp, powerful, and clear tone.
I think it's one of the ideal JB sounds in the modern era.
