AS stands for American Standard and refers to the pickup size used in Fender's 5-string basses.
It features split-coil noise cancellation, producing a clear, yet traditional sound.
While canceling noise, it also adds a subtle depth to the sound, allowing you to achieve a deep bass tone even when adjusting the balance.
While centered on a vintage sound, the transparent sound is never overly dark, providing excellent balance for a 5-string bass guitar.
