Description & Condition
Bacchus is a Japanese brand based in Nagano.
It is a brand under the Diviser umbrella, which owns a large guitar factory called Asuka Factory, and the high quality of the guitars, which are made in-house, is highly regarded by many musicians.
Bacchus has several series in different price ranges, but the Universe series in particular pursues high cost performance.
The BTE-1DX RSM/M is a TL model that prioritizes playability and sound while keeping the price low.
The neck joint features a heel-less cut and contour processing, making it comfortable to play in higher positions.
The frets are made of stainless steel, which offers superior wear and stain resistance.
Since stainless steel is more expensive than nickel, its use in this price range is innovative.
The neck is made of roasted maple.
Roasted maple originated as a Finnish technology, and in terms of its adoption in musical instruments, the Kansai-based brand Sago was a pioneer.
This material is said to have its moisture evaporated through high-temperature processing, enhancing its rigidity. Wood that warps during this process is naturally not used.
In two senses, this results in a high-quality product.
Instruments made with roasted maple have a mature sound and a playing feel that feels less like a new instrument in a good way.
Like stainless steel frets, such specifications are not typically adopted at this price point.
The sound is clear and crisp, characteristic of TL.
There is no lack of low-end, and the balance is appealing.
