Tune is a long-established bass guitar brand based in Amagasaki City, Hyogo Prefecture.
Since its founding in 1983, it has been loved by many bassists.
Phoenix is one of Tune's brands, producing many unique custom models.
The PH-3 is normally a 33-inch neck-through design, but this particular instrument has had its original neck removed and replaced with a 34-inch bolt-on neck.
Therefore, there is no serial number on the back of the headstock.
The neck appears to have been manufactured by Tune.
Such bold modifications are only possible with Tune.
The body top is chestnut, the back is mahogany, and the fingerboard is paulownia wood.
It has a very high-quality look.
The pickups and preamp are Tune originals.
In addition to a 3-band EQ, it features a mini-switch for series, tap, and parallel pickup switching, enabling a wide range of sound shaping to suit various genres.
It boasts a clear attack and quick response, making it suitable for technical playing.
The frets have approximately 90% remaining.
The truss rod is in good condition.
The neck is in good condition.
The body and paintwork have scattered scratches and dents on the back of the body.
The electronics are in good condition.
The original neck has been removed and replaced from a 33-inch through-neck to a 34-inch bolt-on neck.
